Kosmos Energy Acquires Hess Corp. Assets in Equatorial Guinea

The assets of Hess Corporation (NYSE: HES) (www.Hess.com) in Equatorial Guinea will be acquired by Kosmos Energy (NYSE: KOS) (www.KosmosEnergy.com), the Ministry of Mines and Hydrocarbons has announced. The landmark sale transfers majority ownership and operatorship of two legacy oil producing areas in the Rio Muni basin, Ceiba and Okume, to Kosmos.

ERHC Energy reaches Agreement with Kosmos for Block 11, São Tomé and Principe EEZ

ERHC Energy Inc. (OTCMKTS: ERHE), a publicly traded American company with oil and gas assets in Sub-Saharan Africa announced today that it has reached an agreement with Kosmos Energy (NYSE: KOS), a leading independent oil and gas exploration and production company focused on frontier and emerging areas to transfer all ERHC's rights to Block 11 of the São Tomé and Principe Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) to Kosmos. 

Kosmos Energy Provides Update on 2015 Exploration Drilling Program

Kosmos Energy (NYSE: KOS) announced today that the CB-1 exploration well located in the Cap Boujdour permit area offshore Western Sahara encountered hydrocarbons. The well penetrated approximately 14 meters of net gas and condensate pay in clastic reservoirs over a gross hydrocarbon bearing interval of approximately 500 meters. The discovery is non-commercial, and the well will be plugged and abandoned.

Operational Update on Foum Assaka Well FA-1, offshore Morocco

Fastnet Oil & Gas Plc ("Fastnet") (AIM: FAST, ESM: FOI), the E&P company focused on exploration acreage in Africa and in the Celtic Sea, is pleased to announce that its partner and operator in the Foum Assaka area, offshore Morocco ("Foum Assaka Licence"), Kosmos Energy Deepwater Morocco, a wholly owned subsidiary of Kosmos Energy Ltd. ("Kosmos") (NYSE: KOS), has confirmed that the FA-1 well, located within the Foum Assaka area on the Eagle Prospect, spudded on March 16th 2014. Fastnet holds its interest in the Foum Assaka licence area through its wholly owned subsidiary Pathfinder Hydrocarbon Ventures Limited.

Jubilee Field Unit Operator Provides Revised Production Forecast

Kosmos Energy Ltd. (“Kosmos”) (NYSE: KOS) announced today that Tullow Oil plc (LSE: TLW), the operator of the Jubilee field, has provided a revised production forecast of 100,000 barrels of oil per day (Bopd) for the full year 2014. This rate allows for a potential two-week shutdown for regular maintenance at the Jubilee floating production, storage, and offloading vessel (FPSO).

Rig Share Agreement for Foum Assaka Exploration Program

Technip Awarded Major Contracts for the TEN Project in Ghana

Technip, leader of a consortium with Subsea7, has been awarded by Tullow Ghana Limited two contracts for the TEN Project, located offshore Ghana, at a water depth reaching up to 2,000 meters. Together, those two contracts have a combined value of approximately USD 1.23 billion, with a Technip share of about USD 730 million.

Kosmos agrees farm-out of Foum Assaka permit, Offshore Morocco with BP

Kosmos Energy (NYSE: KOS) today announced that it has entered into three farm-out agreements with BP plc (LSE: BP) (NYSE: BP), covering three blocks in the Agadir Basin, offshore Morocco. Under the terms of the agreements, BP will acquire a non-operating interest in each of the Essaouira Offshore, Foum Assaka Offshore and Tarhazoute Offshore blocks.
