Africa Oil Announces Heads of Terms Signed for First Ever Oil Development in Kenya

Africa Oil Corp. ("Africa Oil" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that Heads of Terms agreements with the Government of Kenya and joint venture partners, Africa Oil, Tullow Oil plc and TOTAL S.A. have been signed for the development of the oil fields in the South Lokichar Basin.

Total agrees with Occidental to contingent acquisition of Anadarko’s assets in Africa

Total announces that it has reached a binding agreement with Occidental to acquire Anadarko’s assets in Africa (Algeria, Ghana, Mozambique, South Africa) for a consideration of 8.8 billion $ in the event of a successful completion of Occidental’s ongoing bid for Anadarko. The transaction is contingent upon Occidental entering into and completing its proposed acquisition of Anadarko and to approval by the relevant authorities and is expected to close in 2020. 

Total to Launch a Fuel Retail Network with Sonangol in Angola

Total has agreed to develop joint activities in the downstream petroleum sector in Angola, with national company Sonangol. Already long-term partners in the upstream business, the two companies have decided to establish a Joint Venture company to develop a common retail and distribution activity in the country, the fourth largest market in sub-Saharan Africa.

Total starts up production from Dalia Phase 1A on deep offshore Block 17

Total has started production from Dalia Phase 1A, a new development on its deep offshore operated Block 17, located 135 km off the coast of Angola. Dalia Phase 1A will develop additional reserves of 51 million barrels (Mb) and will contribute 30,000 barrels per day (b/d) to the block’s production.

Clov Start Up In Angola - Total Increases Block 17 Production To 700,000 Barrels Per Day

Total, operator of Block 17 in Angola, today started up CLOV, a major deep offshore development located 140 kilometers offshore Luanda, in line with the initial project schedule. With a production capacity of 160,000 barrels per day, CLOV will develop proven and probable reserves of over 500 million barrels. After Girassol, Dalia and Pazflor, CLOV is the fourth Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit on Block 17.
