Baker Hughes, a GE company awarded contract by Nigeria LNG in milestone digital agreement for Sub-Saharan Africa

Baker Hughes, a GE company (NYSE: BHGE) (www.BHGE.com) has signed an agreement for the provision of Asset Performance Management (APM) software and services for LNG trains and related Balance of Plant (BoP) by Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG). NLNG shareholders are Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (49%), Shell Gas B.V. (25.6%), Total Gaz Electricite Holdings France (15%), and Eni International (N.A). NVSL (10.4%). This deal marks the first APM solution sold and executed both in the LNG market and in Sub-Saharan Africa by BHGE. 

Eland - Opuama-7 Drilling and Crude Sales Update

Eland Oil & Gas PLC (AIM: ELA), an oil & gas production and development company operating in West Africa with an initial focus on Nigeria, is pleased to confirm that the OES Teamwork Rig has been at the Opuama-7 wellsite for the past week. The drilling team has since completed all preparatory work and the rig has now commenced operations for the Opuama-7 sidetrack well. The operation remains on track to complete the well in October.

Equatorial Guinea Enters Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Sales and Infrastructure Agreement with Burkina Faso

The Ministry of Mines and Hydrocarbons (http://MMIE.Gob.gq/en/), representing the Government of Equatorial Guinea, has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Government of Burkina Faso to supply the West African country with LNG and build critical infrastructure to import, store and transport gas. The initial three-year agreement compels both sides to negotiate and sign an LNG sales and purchase agreement (SPA) and a terminal use agreement (TUA) that will be the basis for their first LNG exchange. The MoU also calls for Equatorial Guinea to explore and produce oil and gas in Burkina Faso.

Durban conference to discuss South Africa’s potential to build a strong gas economy

A conference taking place in Durban from 9-11 October is to welcome H.E. Honourable Mmamoloko Kubayi, Minister of Energy for South Africa alongside international partners along the value chain to explore South Africa’s aspirations to build an energy hub for gas cooperation. The International Gas Cooperation Summit (IGCS) (www.IGCS-SA.com) evolves from the ‘South Africa: Gas Options’ meetings held in Cape Town in 2015 & 2016.

Nigeria's Shoreline Energy multiplies country's gas supply efforts to aid local government

Apex International Energy Signs Two Concession Agreements in Egypt

Apex International Energy (www.apexintl.com), an independent oil and gas exploration and production company focused on Egypt, today announced that it has signed two concession agreements for 1.7 million acres encompassing the West Badr el Din (4,180 km 2) and South East Meleiha (2,535 km 2) concessions, located in the prolific Abu Gharadig Basin in Egypt's Western Desert.  As previously announced, Apex was awarded the two blocks as part of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) 2016 bid round.  

Anadarko Reaches Significant Mozambique LNG Milestone

Anadarko Petroleum Corporation (NYSE: APC) today announced that it had finalized two agreements with the Government of Mozambique – together known as the "marine concessions"  – which would allow it to design, build and operate the marine facilities for its LNG project in northern Mozambique. This follows the publication of the Mozambican Government Decrees approving those agreements.
